Parachute by Guster
I technically didn't discover them until the mid 2000's but their debut album hit me like a ton of bricks when I first heard it and was aimed directly at my soft, partially emo early 20's heart. I'll never be able to tell you what the title track *means*, but it's incredible.

It's honestly impressive how Nintendo took a working an intuitive system for digital game licensing and sharing and tossed the entire thing out for a worse and more confusing experience. Nintendo doing what they do best.
