Honored to host Anna Gifty Opoku-Agyeman at our Financial Equity Summit where she addressed the ongoing attacks on DEI, persistent pay disparities facing women of color, and offered a powerful defense of Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook. @itsafronomics.bsky.social

New >> California and New York are projected to lose up to 8 electoral votes in 2030. Texas and Florida are projected to gain 8.

If Kamala Harris had to compete with that map, even winning Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin wouldn’t have saved her. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

Good read on how public land should be put to work for the public good of housing creation. In my 1st 100 days as mayor, we did a land audit (www.boston.gov/housing/city...) to identify City-owned parcels for housing & we’re already seeing results. A few examples ⬇️
‘What could be better than having free land?: How 112,000 publicly owned acres could help solve the housing crisis - The Boston Globe

FDIC unbanked survey is out today.

The unbanked rate is down modestly from 2021 to 2023 (4.5 percent to 4.2). However, unbanked rates among households of color remained several times higher than the unbanked rate among White households.
