I am never as convinced of my commitment to liberation theology as during sermons like that. I find myself scrawling on the bulletin "repent and believe" and "narrow is the way" and "go and sin no more" and PREFERENTIAL OPTION FOR THE POOR.

It's like there's this Stockholm Syndrome happening or a codependent attachment. "If only we can make them feel welcome then they will be nicer people."
