Saw the movie Jaws in '75 at 9yo. That's when I developed my fear of sharks. Despite that, it's a favorite film and Quint's Indianapolis Speech Scene still leaves me terrified. In honor of the 50th year release of Jaws, I'm reading this treasure found in my neighborhood Little Free Library.

I was 50 when this photo changed me. It's the moment I understood aging women can be authentic and baddass. I embraced my silvering hair and crows feet. Almost 8 years later, this photo still inspires me.

Oh boy, it’s National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day and I wouldn’t be the same person if I didn’t have this good boy in my life. Pets will make you a better person if you let them.
