Sure, but the president does not usually give orders directly to enlisted folks, and officers do not swear an oath to obey the president. Officers swear only to protect and defend the Constitution. And officers are supposed to be able to discern the legality of their orders.

Thank the six SCOTUS justices who granted a blanket “immunity” designation for one of the least disciplined adults I’ve EVER heard of.
Similar behavior and language by an executive at a Fortune 1000 company, board member or employee would be grounds for immediate dismissal.
Low standards outcomes.
