Is it really that hard to acknowledge that technology might make people's lives better? Like 'it'd be so good to be able to see my rural elderly grandparents and aging mother in an easier way' shouldn't be something you need to try and dunk on.

i dont think he runs a print farm - he's got some sort of setup where he takes the pellets, melts them, colors them, and winds them into filament
i mainly print functional stuff & gaming terrain so silk isn't my ideal, but it's *such* a good price

he's a sole trader on FB marketplace who runs his own filament business - my guess is he had a big order on silk that got cancelled so he's left holding the bag of a few hundred rolls that aren't selling well and he needs to shift to make space

It is! A local guy has some dual-colored Silk PLA on sale for $12 a kilo and I'm sitting here thinking... my cupboard is full already and my hobby spend is maxed out. But gosh would I love to buy ten or twenty kilos.
