Bravo!
Good news tonight from the east bank of the Hudson River: the Hudson Common Council just PASSED a resolution calling upon the New York Power Authority to set as a target 15 gigawatts of new, publicly owned renewables by 2030. Michael Richardson of @thirdactupstateny.bsky.social and I spoke in favor.

Acosta: He can try to roll tanks down Pennsylvania Avenue and all of that—Hegseth can show up in a camouflage tie he got at the Gap—but at the end of the day, the real American strength, the real American might that was on display over the weekend, was in those No Kings protests across the country.

A little thread: Science is defiantly anti-fascist because it pursues truth, is necessarily collaborative, and relies on open communication. And because its falsifiability is incompatible with the cultism, faith-based belief systems, disinformation, and propaganda of Christian nationalism.

Keep fighting!
Defeatism is exactly what Trump, Vance, and Musk want us to feel.

They’d like nothing better than for us to give up, so they can have it all. Cynicism and hopelessness play into their fetid hands.

Keep up the fight.

Troublemakers believe in non-violent direct action. "What we can do is resist the corporations, governments, and institutions that are locking us into a terrifying future..."
March 11, 2025 at 1:56 AM
Musk doesn't get how nonviolent protest works. Why are we Troublemakers? Because as Rep. John Lewis, RIP, knew: in hard times, good trouble is ESSENTIAL to all that we love.

When the world is at risk, when democracy is at risk, we're either troublemakers—or collaborators.

So: who's a Troublemaker?

This is an all hands on deck moment for the U.S. climate movement. We have some fantastic lawyers on our side -- they're going to need to give this everything they've got. I'm hopeful they're up for the task.

No one elected Elon Musk.

The Trump administration's total embrace of big corporations and tech billionaires has meant they're leaving behind everyday Americans.

Fossil fuels cannot compete against cheap wind, solar, geothermal, and other renewables. Solar, wind, storage & others will accelerate the death spiral of the entire atomic and fossil fuel industry. Citizens and investors be warned, they are cornered and dangerous.

Our lawsuit is part of a longstanding push for climate-smart agriculture and reducing industrial agriculture’s climate impact. We're not backing down now.

The state pension fund (WSIB) needs to divest from coal and other fossil fuels. The state legislature has now introduced the Washington Coal Act directing the state pension fund to phase out $2.6 Billion from coal. Email your senator & urge them to support SB 5439.
