First game of PoG for @nwinches.bsky.social and I some time ago. Just the intro scenario to learn the game. We've finished 3 games since and have yet to learn this lesson. Seriously - those three all ended badly because of supply.

I need some help understanding this example. The 4 Japanese ships have a total attack strength of 53 and roll an 8 (=1x) so they should have dealt 53 damage not 36. As the US forces all defend at 1/2 strength, shouldn't ALL (including the Marines) been eliminated?

Been learning Empire of the Sun via walking through the play through and reading the pertinent rules and now through using the CDG solo system to play the South Pacific scenario.
Rules and systems are not too bad. Above average on the learning curve, but playthrough->rules and back has helped

FitL+Fall of Saigon solo update (as VC)
This was the state after the last coup of FitL (no winners allowed until FoS). I have a good lead, but have to last until the very last Coup. Saigon fell to the NVA 2 seconds after I took this picture. VC got to Tet AGAIN (super unfair). This is a long game

All setup to solo (I randomly drew VC-blue) Medium scenario for Fall of Saigon. That means playing all the way through 36 (plus 3 coups) before anyone can win. To win solo, I have to make it through the FitL cards and 3 more coup cards in the FoS set (24+3). This is going to take a while...

Sea Wolves - put down 9909 tons of allied shipping. Result? Partial success. Though I snuck into the port of Oban, apparently I didn't get any intel out of the deal, so didn't rank a better outcome. I had two ships get away with damage, but I the amount of dud torpedos kept me from sinking them.

Sea Wolves - put down 9909 tons of allied shipping. Result? Partial success. Though I snuck into the port of Oban, apparently I didn't get any intel out of the deal, so didn't rank a better outcome. I had two ships get away with damage, but I the amount of dud torpedos kept me from sinking them.
Sea Wolves Solitaire (deluxe) - About the same level (ish) of complexity as a Lambo game book. Pretty cool so far!
