I’m experimenting with turning an old shirt into paper and the first step feels a lot like turning a shirt into fettuccini

I've decided to challenge myself to *actually* post content regularly for the next month.

I'm an anxious perfectionist by default, so I was using research and planning as a means of procrastination.

Truly - I've spent the last 6 months "thinking" about how I want to build an online presence.

So much this. Bluesky loves links. As @hankgreen.bsky.social says "people click on stuff and they leave the site, they leave! and they read articles!". I love how excited we all are about the open web. Our timeline is healing. Click on the video, and enjoy it on hankschannel! youtu.be/D4ghgVq9z4M

Wow, I forgot the joy of reaching the end of new content on a timeline.

You're telling me that I can just stop scrolling when I get to the things I've seen before?

I don't have to be algorithmically manipulated into mindlessly scrolling forever??

Like — this is so cool! Something so small that fundamentally changes the dynamics of the platform

It really seems like the team values transparency and knows what they’re facing

We could go on about how we welcome publishers, we don't demote links, we encourage independent developers to build apps and extensions on top of Bluesky's network.... but instead, we'll show you.

All thanks to the incredible community here! 🦋

It’s interesting to witness the collective worry that Bluesky will be a temporary utopia — the fear of its inevitable demise is everywhere

With the incentives of capitalism at play, we should obviously be cautious.

But if we want this thing to last, should we not be hopeful that it will?

I recently discovered the Philly Free Library has video games in its catalog?? Time for me to finally play Super Mario Odyssey

I'm only, oh, idk... 7 years late to the party?
Public library energy is the best energy. Like here is all the knowledge we could find, it's been meticulously organized and vetted and it will cost you nothing today, welcome to the absolute pinnacle of human civic evolution, feel free to pull up any bean bag chair you like

Pumped for how my new portfolio is looking — I'm using the Client First framework for Webflow for the first time. Game changer.

I'm impressed by its documentation. It's extremely thorough and explains how the framework benefits SEO and accessibility — right up my alley

Shoutout to whoever made it look like Paul has gargantuan hands or weirdly long arms. You’ve done an incredible job

I have a hydroponic garden in my office that I fiddle with when I get stressed out

At this point, these are basically my emotional support tomatoes

Imma need some of you to think about thriving out of spite. I had big plans for 2025 and I’m definitely not gonna pre-derail them for likes of Elin and Tromp. I’m getting more involved. Loving harder. Writing hornier. Having more fun. I’m gonna be so kind to my neighbors, bitch.

I learned SO MANY skills from design Twitter back in the day. I was a lowly CS major trying to make the jump, and the knowledge shared freely was a huge resource for me.

I’m excited to see how the community grows in Bluesky
