If you see this, post a book you’ve read more than once 📖 📚

I rarely read a book more than once, but Tolkien holds a special place in my heart that demands I read his works again and again. Someday, I hope to read it to my kids as well.

How many books is too many to read at one time? I grabbed five possible comparable titles from the bookstore, and so far the first two don’t seem close at all. Do I finish them first or just start the next one?

Today has been an amazing day—I’ve learned so much and met so many amazing people at Superstars! It’s overwhelming but in the best possible way :)

An adventure begins with a single step. Or months of planning and anticipation, lots of anxiety (did I remember to pack everything?), and hours of waiting at the airport.

“Legacy of the Lost Voters” is a satirical story about the dangers of AI and the moral obligation of allowing the deceased to have their say in modern politics. But in a shocking twist, AI is unable to harm humanity, forcing the program to short circuit. Will morals prevail—wait, whose morals?
If we don’t get a at least one story about AI-generated dead people voting next subs period, we’re going to be disappointed.

(Yes, a real politician appears to have actually said this, possibly seriously. To quote @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com, reality has no obligation to be convincing…)

Dentist update: only one cavity and I was able to get it filled today, plus they fixed the broken filling. Best part? It was small enough they didn’t need to numb me, so no puffy mouth feeling afterward.

Guess who’s at the dentist with a broken filling? That’s right, me! But that’s ok. It’s not like I got scarred by Final Destination as a kid or anything. This’ll be fine.

Consistency in Review
At the start of this year, 2023, I took a look at my life and decided the theme for the year should be consistency. In 2022, I focused on rebuilding myself--pulling together the pieces of a world turn...

Happy first night of Hanukkah! If you’re looking for something seasonal to read, allow me to suggest Literally Dead: Tales of Holiday Hauntings—a collection of horror stories set around the winter holidays, including my story “Mordecai Weiss: Monster Hunter” about demons sealed inside a Hanukkiah.
