Experiment with layering for different weather, length of time outside, temp/windchill, activity, etc. Your #1 goal is to ALWAYS keep your hands & feet warm AND dry. Your whole body is ideal, but hands & feet are non-negotiable — especially when it starts getting REALLY cold. We're between

You won't need all 5 for every snow, but quality attire is the difference between enjoying winter & hibernating over half the year. It can get expensive, but these things are worth investing in. Some of my best winter gear is thrifted & required more time invested to find than money.
