Yeah so the overworld is incredible, and so is the level design. You get a rough location for where the things you need to collect for the story are in your map, but to progress forward you have to search suspicious spots in the overworld to find levels. Dead ends, clearing in a forest, etc.
telling all my friends who love bump action, looks like this adds a ton of wrinkles to it, I almost couldn't tell if you hadn't said this

Angeline Era rules *hard*, it takes the idea of Ys I/II/IV bump combat, and really expands upon it in *very* smart ways. Definitely check it out if you were on the fence!

Bleak this keeps happening but good lord Brown Dust is like the worst name for a series of games that are going for sex appeal.
Neowiz has cancelled the Steam release of Brown Dust 2 after encountering an unfixable issue with the platform's policy requirements. The company will now instead look for an alternative PC platform:

Imagine if one of the impacts of this bubble bursting is consumer GPUs going back to HBM. At least it would be a win for efficiency?
It no longer makes sense to buy NVIDIA's AI GPUs. The space and power doesn't exist to turn them on, providing AI compute and LLM services is deeply unprofitable with no end in sight, and demand for these services simply doesn't exist at scale. It's time to stop.

This is disappointing and surprising. Have been playing it for review on S2 and Steam Deck. Figured the PS5 version would sort out the perf issues I had on S2.
PSA: If you're interested in checking out Skate Story, avoid the console versions. I've been looking forward to it and bought it on PS5...but the performance f**** sucks. It's extremely unstable and messy - VRR can't save it. What a shame. Trying to figure out if I can refund it.
