It seems decade old but these are still modern! I was shocked. This model was only discontinued in 2023 iirc. So cool.

For perspective, here are 40 other tapes I didn't load into this to start. This bucket is what 120 terabytes looks like.

Some may say this is unnecessary, and they'd likely be right, but I didn't want to keep cramming more drives into my PC. Once all my old VODs are uploaded, I can back them up to tapes and free space on my hard drives again so I'm prepared for Twitch's next fuckup.

These are meant to be hooked up to a server and run on Windows Server or other enterprise grade OSes, so it was a bit of a chore to find a fiber -> PCIe card that would work on my PC and recognize this particular tape storage drive. Huge shoutouts to the enthusiasts in my Discord who helped!

These are LTO 5 tapes, so they're a few generations behind, but each one still holds a compressed 3 TB. This device can hold 22 at once, and I've acquired 54 of these. I have 162 TB of backup storage now. I felt bad about filling the 16 TB I currently have, but there's no need to fear now!

Yea I used the Full preset last time and it was wonderful, so I decided to stick with it. This time barely anything changed.

Ready for winter!

I cant imagine playing this on the lower difficulty. I beat the last 7 bosses that I fought without attacking. The several bosses before that had no multitarget attacks so there was no answer to Cover. The bosses are very simple.

I might come back to it after a break and finish it off, but right now I have no motivation to play it besides just finishing, and that isn't great for any of us. In the near future, I'll be finishing off Yooka-Replaylee, and then resuming the FF3jPR SSCCs!
