Videos, podcasts, lost albums & anything else that takes my fancy.
Another what if to kick of the month. I always felt that the first two solo LPs by Paul McCartney had some great tracks let down by too much filler. Therefore, what if the best bits were kept for one album. This is what I came up with.

So we are coming to the end of yet another month. It must therefore be time to drop another Flying Vinyl sampler.

This stand alone single came out in response to the criticism levelled at the band for the pop sheen of their previous album.

It was their second & so far last UK number one single. The sticker on the front states that this is a limited edition, but how limited it is I have yet to find out.

White Blood Cells was the third album by The White Stripes and the one that catapulted them into the mainstream. This is what a Deluxe Edition of that LP could have looked like if Jack White was a bit more conventional with his back catalogue.

The White Stripes Greatest Hits, Third Man Records Vault version with unique sleeve art and a third disc of B-Sides. What's not to like?

Another album celebrating its 55th anniversary this month is Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & the Dominos. This is my attempt at the most comprehensive box set by the members of this band during their existence.

Today felt like a good day to give the debut LP by Fleet Foxes a spin. What a beautiful record it is.

The Man Who Sold the World, David Bowie’s third LP is 55 years old so what better way to celebrate than to compile a definitive box set.

With the end of the month fast approaching, it is therefore time to share another Flying Vinyl Sampler compilation, with this one covering the year of 2019.

After DPD misplaced the order, my copy of REM's Radio Free Europe 2025 EP has finally arrived.

After the re-release of Road to Rouen by Supergrass, I thought it was time to give what is arguably Gaz Coombes' best solo LP a spin. The EP that came out for RSD 2023 was also a nice edition to the collection. Shame that the EP was not a full album of demos etc.

In a follow up to the Psych singles collection from last month, I thought it would be time to produce one from the last music movement to fully embrace the 7" as medium in its own right instead of one just trying to sell a parent LP.

It is time for De Stijl, the second album by The White Strips to get the deluxe treatment.

So it has been 20 years since Road to Rouen by Supergrass was released. So that leads to the obligatory anniversary edition. It is nice for those who missed out the first time around to get this on what has been called petrol and forest coloured vinyl.

Juliana Hatfield had already performed with Blake Babies, The Lemonheads & released her first solo album before going out as the Juliana Hatfield Three. Their first LP was called Become What You Are & included the singles, My Sister, For The Birds & this one, Spin The Bottle.

Sun Dial have realised an astonishing amount of archive releases down the years, I thought it was about time to put them all in one comprehensive box set.

I set myself a bit of a challenge to see if there was enough material to create a Deluxe Edition of the first White Stripes album. It seems that there was more than enough.

Another fantastic collection of music that This Feeling felt were going to be big. This time, from 2024. Unlike all of the other releases in this series, the colour of the vinyl did not match the sleeve. Shame. @thisfeeling2024

30 years ago today, Fleetwood Mac released the wonderful Live at the BBC sessions album.

What surprises me is that a second volume has not see the light of day, considering how much the band recorded at the Beeb, so here is my attempt.

So which musicians did This Feeling think were going to be Big in 2023?

Once again, the answer is in the grooves.
September 8, 2025 at 8:22 AM
This is a project I have been working on for a while now. This is a compilation of single mixes from the US psych acid rock era of the late 60s (with the odd Canadian thrown in for good measure).

The Proclaimers first big hit, Letter From America was released in 1987.

The 10” single version was a double groove pressing, so depending on where you put the needle down would play either an acoustic or orchestral version of the song.
