Especially considering the other books in the series...hoo boy.

I watch it every year.
Since the day of release, it was the first film I felt was made for me.

The film came out in 1980 and, production problems being the reason or not, it is ALL about society's obsession with fame and "reality tv" before that was a thing.

Plus, given today's political climate, I think the ending is pretty on the nose
