I’ve seen physicians use stethoscope as reflex hammers. Easy to do. Not a problem with the stethoscope (tool).

If the proposal is successful, the selection of those participating will be very important.

I would endeavour to find individuals with diverse backgrounds beyond just EBM & AI.

Some ppl have PhD in addition to their MDs, do qualitative research & lay people involvement is key.

I agree that EBM has been misused as a tool.

That is a problem with the person more than the tool.

Humans have a long history of using tools inappropriately.

These issues are not unique to EBM.

Experts in EBM & AI can have more than one area of expertise.
Who would you want included in consensus conference on the topic of using AI in EBM?

EBM & AI experts will be recruited from around the world using an equity & inclusion lens, actively seeking representation from low & middle-income countries. It will also have laypeople participate. Diverse pedagogies with integration of narrative sharing, structured debate & experiential learning.
