The left better start figuring out how to weaponize today's decision rather than just (rightfully) criticizing it.

- Go back into Judge Kaczmaryk's court to dissolve all of his nationwide orders.

- Pass gun bans and insist any order applies only to plaintiffs.

Here are the options on the table (which are not mutually exclusive):

1. House Dems bring articles of impeachment*

2. Senate Dems play constitutional hardball and obstruct everything

3. State AGs litigate (and prosecute) everything they can

4. Citizens march en mass

cannot be said enough that for a decade a critical number of americans have simply refused to accept that he means what he says
I hold a lot of disdain for the people who didn’t see this coming given P2025 but it does seem like the actual support for these goals is nonexistent, everyone who voted for him did so under the incredibly stupid assumption that he wouldn’t do this

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.

Israel released 90 hostages in Gaza then took 90 new hostages in the West Bank. This is what Israel does and this is the vile colonial violence it’s founded on, beyond any kind of reform

It's true that bluesky isn't great for news and commentary about Palestine. Maybe it will get better, maybe it won't. But we have to keep trying because it's crucial to talk about Palestine precisely where it feels unwelcome.

A thing I’ve started saying to kick off every media interview: “The question is not ‘will they do mass deportation y/n.’ It’s not a defined term and it’s not a binary. The question is: how far can they go, and how far will they go?”
Attended an event today that highlighted the massive disconnect between federal policy people on the right who think mass deportation won’t happen and the state folks who are banking on it.

In either case, there is going to be a part of the right coalition is in for a very rude awakening.
