Sure, but many people in the country still have to drive in it and I imagine most of them have almost died or at least have lost control of a car in snow before. Hating the thing that almost kills you because it’s culturally unavoidable to have to drive through it isn’t about having a depleted soul.

If I had to say what's made me despise corporate media I guess I'd say the people
I've moved between well-known institutions for decades and have never encountered as many rich kids who stumbled into journalism after an internship their parents supported them through as I have in corporate media

A lot of it was, yes, Trump backlash. But the winners also had another thing in common, despite a wide range of differences: most rejected corporate PAC money.

I think the Dems need to field gruff corruption busters at all levels whose primary campaign response to culture war issues is “All Americans should enjoy the freedom and bounty of this great country. That won’t be possible so long as venal men impoverish you and loot the country of your wealth”
