2019 hat die ÖVP die Koalition mit der FPÖ gesprengt, weil sie Herbert Kickl für untragbar als Innenminister hielt.
Im Wahlkampf 2024 hat sie Kickl für „rechtsextrem“ u. zum „Sicherheitsrisiko“ erklärt.
Nun will die ÖVP Verhandlungen, um Kickl zum Kanzler zu machen.
