I finished a gift for a friend and there's no point in working on the comic tonight, so I had the perfect excuse to sketch Genshin Impact fanart.

Well that was pretty good progress for a single evening.

This is going to be a 15-page story...and an excuse to draw Star Trek TOS uniforms.

The cover to the album "Blues Walk" by Jazz alto Saxophonist Lou Donaldson. It consists of a photo of Donaldson in a trenchcoat and hat carrying his saxophone case while walking in what appears to be a park with some sizable trees behind him. At the bottom beneath the album title and artist name are the words "Blur Note 1593". Local light of blue Note recordings from the 50s and 60s the cover is essentially black and white with the white being toned with another colour, in this case a light blue bordering on aqua.

Creativity is just not working today, at least not yet. So I'm leaving my desk to lie down and read. Hopefully this will recharge me.

Hm I think I need to grab some English language reading as well though.

Additionally, while this is messy business I'm writing it on a notepad with a fountain pen using a cheap-ass cartridge. Writing long hand seems to flow more easily right now and I currently have plenty of the aforementioned supplies.

Today I am scripting a planned back up comic for Vol 2 of 'Here and Now' for @killa7art.bsky.social, so I grabbed some comics off the shelf that I thought would help with ideas for panelling and page composition...as well as a copy of Here and Now Vol 1 on my tablet.
