Moreover, they are the biggest plagiarism machines in the history of the world. They can not get answers correct without one of us having done it for them in the past, and then getting our work stolen by the corporation that designed the plagiarism machine and got all the money for it
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Did they hire a Canadian company to take down the White House? They have some experience.

It was at the same time half and twice as effective as Cory Booker's record setter.
Breaking: Sen. Jeff Merkley spoke on the Senate floor for 22 hours and 37 minutes to denounce Trump and his agenda.

It's the fourth longest floor speech in U.S. Senate history.
Sen. Jeff Merkley has been speaking on the Senate floor since 6:20pm last night — protesting Trump and warning that "tyranny has arrived."

"Trump is shredding our Constitution. Is it okay for masked federal agents to arrest people off the street because of their skin color … Not in a free America."

I became a gamer because of weekend rentals with my buddy Matt of a PS1 and FF7. Passing out in the wee hours after finally downing Demon Gate is one of my favourite memories in all of gaming.
Yeah, I think I see the problem here - it's not that the video store was good, it's that you miss being a teenager

@maxboot.bsky.social are you aware of any ground level actions on the part of servicemen that would suggest that being ordered to invade Greenland, Panama, or Canada would result in a significant resistance to that order?
Important article by @maxboot.bsky.social. I am hearing a great deal of both discomfort (from those still serving) and disbelief (from those now retired). Those who were sure the U.S. military would resist unlawful orders are now much less so.

In the last 2 weeks MAGA aligned people have done 2 attempted mass shootings of a gay bar and pride center in Arizona and Texas, murdered 2 teenage girls for mocking Charlie Kirk, and torched a judge's home.

Meanwhile, the government mobilized the military to go after the left.

I just want Canadians to remember that as much as there is talk that annexation will never happen, this is how they're treating *each other* and how quickly it can happen.
Texas proudly invading Illinois.

It’s hard to describe the level of potential constitutional crisis here.

This is not routine alliance chatter.
It’s pressure politics meant to lock #Canada into one supplier, one software stack, and one foreign government, effectively holding the keys to our front-line fighters. or else.

I want to say that truth started dying in 2015 but someone would either say something useless about subjectivity or rightly point to Bush Jr era or ealier attacks on it.

It just feels like it's almost gone now and I cannot tell you how disappointing the last battle for it went.

Yet another killing seemingly without any legal authorization. The previous boat was heading to Trinidad and Tobago and there has yet to be ANY evidence of imminent danger requiring a lethal strike. Virtually no fentanyl or opioids travel by this route.
Another US strike on a vessel alleged to be smuggling drugs in the Caribbean.

Once again, the specific entity and individuals targeted are not identified—simply labelled as "terrorists." 1/n

@mark-carney.bsky.social stop this nonsense immediately.
Charlie Kirk's death was a tragedy.
But he built his name on provocation and white supremacy.
He said that gun deaths of innocents was "worth it."
On Mark Carney's first day as PM in Parliament Liberals gave Kirk a standing ovation.
Ceding ground to extremism won't make them nicer.

This is an important thread about the legality of the use of the National Guard in the US under Trump.

Lindsay says in this skeet, "This would be v bad all around."

I just want everyone to remember that Trump has a compliant congress, a purged state apparatus, and a rubber stamp supreme court.
What we do not know is what happens if the federal govt tries to send in troops and the state resists (beyond filing a case). In all previous episodes of a prez sending mil force into a state against the gov’s wishes, the gov protested, but did not attempt resistance. This would be v bad all around.

Vinay Prasad, a former adult oncologist, has moved to disrupt the childhood vaccine schedule by asserting - against all evidence - that administering multiple vaccines at the same time “could blunt their efficacy.” The added burden/delay of separating shots would sharply reduce US vaccination rates.
FDA quietly positions itself to disrupt childhood vaccine schedule
