Until Sony says, oh hey, we found 5 million more in sales (again).

You're comparing a system that has been out for month with the entirety of the Wii U line-up? Just because they started MKW in 2019 and then decided it wouldn't fit on the S1 and needed the extra power of the S2, doesn't make that a bad thing.

The obvious thing is YOU changed. You got worse.

Good

Ok? And I played two hours of a new save file of TOTK last night before bed, and I gave my Wii U to my nephew when I got the original Switch.

I think the short attention span is a more a you thing than a Nintendo thing. This “never enough” thirst for content is ruining the discourse.

I hope they make it a downloadable demo. The direct sold me enough, but I would still like to play it beforehand.
June 19, 2025 at 9:25 PM
How can you watch the Donkey Kong Bananaza Direct and say that? Also, how can you compare a game that began 11 years ago and kept getting upgraded throughout its lifetime to a game that came out two weeks ago? Compare Mario Kart World to Mario Kart 8 at its launch. Then we can talk…

If you’re going to rant, please know the difference between “bare” and “bear.” It’s “bear with me.”

And claiming price gouging just ruins your whole opinion piece. But have a great day.

Ok. Tell me how Mario Kart World plays on Gamecube. I'm sure it's fab.

You're out of your mind if you think the 3.5 million people are all "diehard gamers." I know you're just trying to cope with your lame prediction, but you have to understand that your social media circles are NOT indicative of the general video game public's perception.

Plus, if I don’t play for a few weeks, I forget what I am doing 😂. I restarted a 2023 TOTK save last night. I’m still trying to figure out what to do next.
June 12, 2025 at 1:21 PM
I’m just a button masher, when it comes down to it, and having to stop and think about parrying or jumping out of the way, etc. Is just not my way of playing.

What I loved most about BOTW &, especially TOTK was getting to all the towers and opening up the map. Once I had to grind, I lost interest.
June 12, 2025 at 1:21 PM
I am playing a bit every day after work until bedtime. Love it!
June 12, 2025 at 12:01 PM
Agree! I never finished, and this is helping.

I’m just not as good of a Zelda player anymore, and I need all the help I can get.
June 12, 2025 at 10:52 AM
The arguments never change. You made your choice. Enjoy your hardware and let the others who made a different choice enjoy theirs.

I don’t want the SteamDeck or PC games, and that’s ok. You don’t want Switch 2, and that’s ok.

Move on.
June 12, 2025 at 10:50 AM
LOL - Yes yes, you’re so niche and cool. Better than everyone else because you choose a hand held PC over a regular console.

As a 50 year old who grew up in this argument, you do realize this is a tale old as time? You’re the ones who chose the Amiga over Windows because it was so much better 🤓

Mostly Mario Kart and restarting my Tears of the Kingdom save file. I never finished TOTK or BOTW, and Zelda Notes is a good add on. The graphic upgrades are impeccable.

II restated Super Mario Odyssey and some indie games. I’ll check out the Splatoon 3 update tomorrow.

You could have started before this post, too. Yet here we are.

Me!
June 12, 2025 at 2:50 AM
I started playing it again today for the first time to see what it looks like on Switch 2. I kinda became frustrated because I didn’t remember exactly what I needed to do.

I think it had a lot of great ideas and looks extra good on S2, but I agree it is pretty much just an experiment.
June 12, 2025 at 2:26 AM
Yes yes, your opinion is the only correct one. You’re the one who can’t defend it. You just make blanket statements that are dull and borderline stupid.VR is about as niche as the SteamDeck.
June 12, 2025 at 12:24 AM
I have owned every Nintendo home console, but the Wii U was the first one I was going to skip. Then the FOMO hit, and I ended up buying more games for it than any other console (then rebuying them for Switch).

Nothing, and I mean nothing, could have made me buy a PS or Xbox. Not my kind of games.
