It wouldn't be a terrible thing if the US got back into the airline regulation business. I mean focusing on snacks is dumb, but maybe requiring a certain level of service is something we can work on.
Sean Duffy, the U.S. transportation secretary, has been urging people for the past week to dress and comport themselves better as a way of restoring “civility” to air travel. On Tuesday, he added another item to his list of concerns: the quality of the snacks handed out on commercial flights.

Sean Duffy, who has been promoting greater decorum among air travelers, said he would like to see choices besides salty pretzels and buttery cookies.

I easily remembered the year Pope John Paul II was elected--useful for solving the NYT History Quiz--because I remember a friend's dad (Italian) announcing a new Hail Mary prayer: "Hail Mary full of grace. Now the Italians are in second place."

The obvious explanation is that these are trivial in comparison with what is still being suppressed.
Not that I'm remotely complaining but how in the actual fuck were these emails released to the oversight Dems who are in the minority?

Intriguing
I haven’t seen anyone talk about how Jane Doe - an Epstein survivor - just sued the Bank of New York Mellon for funding Epstein and failing to file a Suspicious Activity Report. A Mellon heir is the one who gave $130M to pay the troops. Seems bribey to me.

In these narratives it's always assumed Democrats are supposed to be the adults soothing Republican toddlers.
It's impressive that polls continue to favor the Dems on the shutdown when Beltway flat-out blames the entire thing on them—with zero responsibility assigned to Republicans. Here's an example from today.
