I mean, I was assigned 500 word essays here and there for university (usually as nightly homework type assignments), but yes it's incredibly poor quality. To the point that when she brushes against an actual argument using Hebrew etymology I had a "owe so you did study *something*" moment.

Sprinting back to Victorian culture so that we can have MySpace tier ego contests over who is the Most Pure and Correct is really cool actually :).

I didn't realize it was beta signup time so I'm not in/don't know the story, but I do also wanna say Arknights intro story didn't "suck," it was just very blatantly setup/worldbuilding for the first 4 Chapters.

(Compare at Fire Emblem Heroes, which sucks, I'm sorry lol.)

I was literally just getting upset about how it screams Genshin [as derogatorily as possible] lmao. If I want a sadder Genshinlike with less Hoyo, then Duet Night Abyss is right there.

I was surprised by how much I liked it tbh. It's the only one I've managed to chug while dehydrated instead of only sipping because I feel weird chugging anything carbonated lol.

If you like the original DOOM then Boltgun is actually pretty great.

Addendum to earlier - Chaos Gate is actually written by the same guy who wrote the months of shame lore that's the only thing anyone knows about Grey Knights, so it could have been Character Development if not for 10e lmao.

Dawn of War is a classic RTS and actually what got me into the setting.
DoW2 is Company of Heroes
DoW3 manages to be neither 1 nor 2 and was much despised for it, but I thought the story was onto something if it'd been allowed to continue rather than all expansions being canceled.

SM2 is fun and has decent multiplayer, is satisfying as a sequel.

Chaos Gate: Daemonhunters is great if you like XCOM without hit chances or Grey Knights (all Space Marines are allowed to be misinterpreted as good *except* them for some reason, they were punished for this game in their 10e Codex)

Rogue Trader absolutely nails the vibe; writers definitely understood the setting they were writing for. Took me 160 hrs though and I took a few breaks along the way.

Space Marine 1 hits the other "Space Marine smash" side of the setting and woulda been much-beloved if it came out ~5 years earlier.
