Chasing the rabbit? But he’s not in the Drift, he’s dreaming. Black is curling around the edges of the world, clouds going dark except for where lightning is flashing. All he needs to do is—

Wake up.

sometimes you're not doing anything, just vibing, living your life, and then out of nowhere you remember that Taumad Dei exists as a character and you feel the overwhelming urge to reread a 3000 page high fantasy epic

The publisher has cut their costs by outsourcing to this company, the company has cut their costs by using AI/low-paid staff instead of paying for a proper job, while I’ve spent hours & hours fixing the manuscript, so all the extra labour from cost-costing has fallen on me, the unremunerated author

Two years ago, I discovered a love story hidden within Scott’s last Antarctic expedition—between two of his officers, Pennell and Atkinson. They survived the tragedy which took Scott’s life and shocked the world, but further dangers still lay ahead for them.

I’ve been saying exactly this for years, and it is surprisingly difficult to get even very smart people to believe it unless they hear him talking about something they deeply understand.
To the extent that Musk has a super-power it is that he is an obscenely rich person who is willing to confidently say (and get many people to accept) completely untrue things that (coincidentally) always serve his own interests. He's an ignorant person's idea of what an informed person sounds like.
"This is in violation of a presidential executive order. It needs to stop" -- Elon Musk, on Hannity's show, makes clear he has no idea how the American government works by asserting that Trump can use executive orders to unilaterally impound funds appropriated by Congress

Sherwood Smith. I rarely see people talking about her Inda quartet (or her other novels) and they are SO GOOD. Tightly plotted, beautiful prose, incredible character and world building, and epic battles. She should be as well known as GRRM or Robert Jordan imo
