My son is 9. He's pretty aware of the gist. He likes to Google when he doesn't understand something so we make sure to clarify anything he has researched

It’s ongoing. Kids aren’t stupid. You don’t want them “learning from other kids”. I have a 14 year old that knows what sex is, birth control, safe sex, boundaries, and consent. Next talk will be when to know you’re ready, and what to expect when it inevitably happens. And parents can’t control that
So this a serious question At what age do you have the “sex” talk with your child??

A lot of the stuff they teach us in school is about teaching methods of thinking, processes of learning, but instead we get hung up on "when are we gonna need to know this specific thing," and how that specific thing is gonna get us a job or not later.

The actual reason there are "more" ppl diagnosed w autism now than 50 yrs ago is the same reason there are "more" LGBTQ ppl now too:
Bigots are less powerful than they used to be and ppl who are "different" have less reason to hide in the shadows.
