Human, Jewish, Rabbi, Hip Hop and classic rock fan, Cubs fan. Appreciative of life's absurdities. Orig from Chicago, now South Florida. Characters welcome.
Sukkot begins tonight. While the Sukkah (hut) is meant to be a reminder of the biblical Exodus, living in a hut should also remind us of those who are food and housing insecure. May we live understanding of our history as well as our obligations towards those in need. Chag Sameach, a Happy Sukkot!

This week has been rough. Murders + lawlessness in the US, Continued war in Ukraine-Russia and Israel-Hamas, no end to the Israeli hostage situation. Politicization of everything. Feel free to join me in a Shabbat, away from media and technology and reconnecting with what's important. Shabbat Shalom

Proudly displaying a new driveway #rainbow at my Florida home . Sending support to all humanity, created in the Godly image and remembering those killed in the mass murders at Pulse Orlando.

As Shabbat approaches, my wish is that the Shalom, the peace Shabbat brings inspires us to pursue peace in our homes, our communities, our countries, our world

Going into the holiday of Shavuot with emotions. Anger at the violent attack on peaceful Jewish & pro-Israel demonstrators in CO, yet pride in the celebration of harvest season & of the Torah. Sending healing prayers to those wounded. May this be a Chag Sameach.

Yom Yerushalayim - Jerusalem Day is tonight & tomorrow, celebrating the reunification of the city during the Six Day War. This marked the first time in decades that Jews could freely go to holy sites in eastern Jerusalem, while Muslims & Christians retain control of their holy sites.
