Good news! Even if you couldn’t make it to #GodotFest this year, all the recorded talks are now gradually being uploaded to our YouTube channel.
If you’d like to support the speakers (and us!) in reaching a wider audience, a like and sub would be awesome!

Most of what we experience of pain is the memory of it. It's a survival mechanism to encourage us to do our best to avoid pain in the future. The memory of pleasure fades quickly; not only that, but we need more and more pleasure to re-experience similar heights. It's TANJ unfair.

Censorship Alert: I published a book about Ghislaine Maxwell trial, and another on Kevin Spacey's trial- this evening I got an email from Amazon's KDP saying they are inappropriate and there all of my books are being taken down, including on Sudan, SBF, Eric Adams

Most puzzles break down into three categories: math, letter substitution, and Tower of Hanoi.

I tried #FarthestFrontier and was immediately turned off. I've tried a number of games like it & one thing I really dislike is when they throw a lot of new concepts at you with a very busy user interface. It's overwhelming. I immediately have to consider every variable? No thanks, this is not fun.

Yikes, $45 shipped to the US for the #GodotEngine plushie. That's a bit pricey.

I feel like such a pancake sometimes. I've had problems with my PC since I reinstalled, so I asked an AI, with a very detailed question. And it helped me fix it.

I've been using computers since the 80s and I would consider myself very skilled with them. And yet. #confession

I love #TheGreatNorth. It's such a wholesome, sweet show.

I really wanted to like Cronos; the story seemed interesting, but I don't find that gameplay fun. Squinting to see even when gamma is high gives me a headache. Combine that with shuffling slowly through clunky paths even while sprinting and beating on bullet-sponge enemies. Tedious. Uninstalled.

So much is broken about #Windows 10, still. Yeah I know, I should use 11, right? The one where they keep taking more and more settings away from user control, and keep trying to shove more ads in it, and force you to run AI, and keep screenshots of everything you do without asking you? That one?

I have to reinstall my PC. #Windows has cratered. A lot of apps are broken. I can't even use the calculator. I've tried all the repair options. /sigh It'll take weeks before everything feels comfortable again.

No Man's Sky is so frustrating & anti-player. What system is my quest in? It's a secret, because I'm on a space station or a planet or my freighter. I HAVE TO BE IN SPACE JUST TO CHECK THE MAP. The entire game is designed fucking bonkers like this. It has slowly evolved to be playable, but jfc.

The new #YouTube browser interface looks terrible and I don't like how they moved everything around.

3D version of Belter. Getting better. Player ship, missiles, and asteroids all in 3D. Placeholder models for now. Still no sound, no particles, etc. #gamedev #godot #godotengine

Just FYI, if a company requires you to sign up for an account or give them your email address in exchange for something, that's not "free." You are agreeing to more than you know.

I feel pretty good about this project. So far I've got an Asteroids clone that has functional flying, shooting, scoring, "shield" instead of lives, temporary invulnerability, asteroids that break into smaller pieces, death, & respawning asteroids once the field is clear. #godot #gamedev #godotengine

I guess it's just as well that agents like Claude Code are getting mixed or negative reviews. I paid $20 for the Pro level and I've already hit limits twice today, and now I've got to wait 2 hours before I can use it again.

So I've been using Claude (Pro, $20/mo) the past week and I've kind of gotten a feel for how fast it is to work on prompts. I got started a little early this morning, and before 9am Eastern execution was SUPER fast. Then at 9am, back to plodding along. F me I guess.

Really frustrated with #godot right now. Apparently if you reparent a node it can lose track of input. But tree hierarchy is the only way to determine Control draw order. So now I have to refactor my game and MANUALLY set card render order. #godotengine
