This semester has allowed me to finally do something I've wanted to do for a few years now... Analog photography.

I shot and developed my first roll of film this month. Today, after several weeks of attempts, I finally produced my first successful print in the darkroom.

Haven't posted in a bit. Been busy with my final semester of undergrad.

Here's some screen prints of Mr. Stan Musial.

SURPRISE! The Outsider Baseball Notebook: Episode 5
Von Spalding - International Leaderboards

I haven’t done any personal podcasting in over a year, but I wanted to take the time to introduce to you Von Spalding, my new research partner and friend.

Was curious if any of you dudes have seen colorized versions of the unis here that just say "New York".

Trying to figure out colors for the 1949 project. @adarowski.bsky.social @buckweaver.bsky.social @bballhist.bsky.social

I haven't posted on here in a bit.... ATG Golden Age is alive and well.

Here's what I've spent today on 👀

If only we had more cards for Negro League and Latin stars.

The list could go on.
Just a handful of guys I’d put in the Hall of Fame before Pete Rose

When @immaculategrid.com added the stat tracking, I thought it would be cool to see what things look like for me with a fresh slate going forward.

Since the update, I've completed 50 total grids. Big fan of my top players.

This deserves a full blown exhibit.
Just got a great email from my research partner on my SABR presentation, Von Spalding. There was a 21st player he suspected of 4,000 hits. He purchased some Sporting News guides from the 1970s and today he confirmed that we have yet another 4,000 hit club member. I’m guessing that’s the last one.

A week later, it has been submitted.

Final total ended up 36 pages, 10,375 words. Going to give it a few days and hopefully I will either post it here publicly for people to see or send it to the few of you who I have discussed the work with and wish to view.
It has been a month since I last posted anything on this.

One week from the date it's due, everything is officially in the final document.

If there is one thing that the stat tracking for @immaculategrid.com has shown me, it's that I love Bullet Rogan, Silvio Garcia, and Paul Waner.

Sam Jethroe is a guy who could have been a Hall-of-Famer if his timing had been different.

Fun fact about Jethroe: he played a fair bit of catcher in 1944-45. If he’d stuck there he’d probably have been the fastest catcher in major-league history.

Luque and Lefty.

I have been summoned. It's like an Outsider Baseball bat signal went off.
Perhaps! He’s from a very picked-over era.

10 AL/NL dudes from 1901–1950 who should maybe be HOFers:

Wes Ferrell
Stan Hack
Bob Johnson
Charlie Keller
Dolf Luque
Sherry Magee
Lefty O’Doul
Wally Schang
Urban Shocker
Vern Stephens

Who you got? I have Bill Dahlen with more WAR and games in 19C.
Should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame

I think Adam takes the cake with this one.

This is gold.
Here’s mine—all Wreckers, but no Bullet, Heavy, or Dobie.

@adarowski.bsky.social and @immaculategrid.com were just asking for me to go all Outsider Baseball for today's grid...... decided I would test my New York Cubans knowledge.

Love my NYC. Nice rarity of zero to start the day.

I was looking at the wrong document lol.

Sitting at 15 pages, roughly 6800 words.
Realized I never posted about this.

Starting back in January, I began an internship for my degree that has seen me conducting research and building a report on the 1957 University of Alabama baseball team who played exhibition games in Japan, Korea, and Hawaii.

15 pgs, 7600+ words. Almost done lol
