Fighting the soulless minions of orthodoxy. I tried to be intellectual but it was too hard. BA, Hons, Crusades & Genocide studies. All kinds of Sci-Fi, Stationery addict.
While Ness is "a site that can be seen to be defined by straight lines and rectangular forms' and "The archaeology that will be uncovered will be quite different". So it'll be a round thing.

It's the best way. I smoked for 20 years until 2008, negative one gazillion out of 10, would not recommend.

Stars on flags aside, it is excellent.

There is a beta test available which is excellent, if you haven't played that. I'm hopeful that the end product will be fantastic.

Most likely at Lithgow Small Arms factory, which still produces weapons. In the Blue Mountains, east of Sydney.

Two up certainly fits the 'underground coin flipping tournaments' description, even if mostly in the past.

I'm assuming you know about the Australian coin flipping game 'two up'. It is illegal (because gambling) except on ANZAC day (25th April), once a year, due to its association with soldiers in the First World War. Here's all about it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two-up

Where's the paperback? At A$200 it is simply unaffordable.

Yep, I haven't had shingles but I went for the vaccine as soon as I was able. Very sore arm for several days, and the second shot was a little easier, but still sore for a couple of days.

I've worn one now for a few years. Living in Australia, the skin cancer capital of the world, deems it necessary. People do notice and are often complimentary.

Being born in 1972 (Australia), I was aware of The Day After but not Threads. So it was not that long ago, as a mature student, that I did a Cold War pop culture unit and it was on the list. I was unprepared, to say the least, for how many levels of 'worse' were explored.

I wonder what the Kirk equivalent of the Host Wessel song will sound like.....

It has been done before.
They (homeless) used to be called 'workshy' and were included amongst the very first to be sent to places like Dachau. The 'useless eaters' were the mentally and physically disabled. Lethal injection was used to kill them from September, 1939. That was called Aktion T4.

Clippers, No. 1 Comb. No curls, but no cost, zero maintenance, get up and go. Repeat as necessary, triple check for missed bits.

that caption (I am assuming it is original from IWM?) is a little confused. ...'rescued by a fireman from a block flats destroyed by a V1 flying bomb'....
