"you have not played the game unless you've played the game" is one of my more annoying but unshakable opinions
the whole "don't play the game, just watch a video on youtube that will explain its story to you" is so disheartening because the issue of accessibility is genuinely really important but it's always just people who want to be spoon-fed nicely quantifiable information

I see a lot of responses to this being “a lot of games have a wacky sidekick, what’s the big deal” but like… Metroid Prime in particular IMO is pretty defined by the sense of loneliness and discovering things on your own, I would say this qualifies as potentially devastating lol
Finding out Metroid Prime 4 has a bumbling, comic relief sidekick that looks like this. It has maybe never been more over.

To no ones surprise, VtM:Bloodlines 2 thus far has been disappointing. Competent Dishonored clone, but it really needed at least a robust dialogue system if we are forgoing the RPG systems, and it's just not there.
