So if you have a question which you could probably answer yourself, don't ask a robot, don't even ask Google. Let your brain chew on it for a bit. Ponder. Thinking is a wonderful thing and I don't believe we should be looking to replace it.

If anything, I became even more averse to how it lead people to ask it to think for them. And that's kinda my point here. We're in an age where everyone's using this thing to think for them.

I don't think I've ever felt more personally insulted than in that one moment. He didn't just ask it a general question. He put emotion into it, like he was asking a person.
Probably not surprising that he didn't get an answer that would convince me...

At one point, he was visiting in person and tried to convince me again. When that didn't work, he pulled out his phone, opened chat gpt, and asked the (paraphrased) prompt: "I want to convince my brother (using my real name, which I did NOT like) to start using chat gpt...

When I was still job hunting, my big brother (love him to death) constantly encouraged me to use chat gpt for resume writing. Though, out of preference for my own style and principle, I kept telling him that I'm good with writing it myself...
