YES! 1000x yes. And we need philanthropy to invest in 20 - 30 year initiatives to do it. Which is what the other side has done.

It’s semantics. “Politician” is defined as a person who is professionally involved in politics. “Representative” highlights first what a person elected by the people is primarily charged to do. A good reminder to all.

I’d rather use the term representative over politician. Politician = profession. To get to the heart of why they are in the position they are in - they are *representatives* of the people from their district.

Same. I guess call out Congress reps everyday. IDK what we’d do.

Thank you. I am doing great now (except a real concern for our country), parents never really recovered. I appreciate this conversation. I hope you are doing well. Please take care.

Political leaders’ policies from both parties are the reason we are losing a middle class. Why we have to organize go fund me’s to get a needed surgery. Why we have no right to paid leave to take care of ourselves and our families. That is what I am sick of.

I hadn’t but TY for the info. I hope he helps WNC + cont to do so. It’s gonna take yrs. My parents were factory wrkrs in the 80’s. Lost their jobs when factory moved overseas. Lost home by my sn yr. Social justice is for ppl like them too. Tired of working hard, rug constantly pulled out from under.

If u are curious about my post, please engage w me as if we were face-to-face, like you would a neighbor. I hope we (universal we) can start mending fissures by doing so.

My main pt was, there is no political party we can count on so we gonna have to do it ourselves. + social justice = everyone.
