Dancey dance dance - attended a historical ball this weekend, got to rewear my dandelion gown, and had a great time walzing for the first time in ages!

Lil time lapse of draping the bodice for my @pfiofficial.bsky.social Sew Off challenge. The muslin I’m using here has been salvaged from at least two previous mock ups, and after this I used the draped pieces to refine the fit on my own body.

How am I supposed to work in these conditions?!?

State of the cast iron pan after filling washing off that second round of lye. There’s only a few small spots of seasoning left, easily at a point where a hard scrub with steel wool and bar keeper’s friend will get the rest off.

The bowl at the bottom is vinegar for neutralizing the lye. As always, lye is super dangerous, so heavy gloves, eye protection, and a lot of caution are key!
