I noticed we can finally mute accounts directly from the TL now instead of having to go to the profile, which is a nice change. Now, they just need to hide the post automatically, and I'll be way more inclined to scroll here more often

Québec City's northern suburbs are consistently 2-3°C colder than downtown, so at this time of year, there are 3-4cm of snow on the ground where I live whereas it has all melted in town. Also, it was snow raining in the morning when I left, but at home it was just snowing

Every so often, Apple vs. Android discourse pops up, and every time, I'm surprised by how many people seem to care. I've never given anyone shit for using iOS, and no one's ever said anything about me being on Android. The discourse is completely foreign to me, at least irl

It always surprises me how empty downtown Québec City is on weekend mornings compared to weekday mornings when I get off work. It's unsettlingly quiet. No cars, not very many people. Very odd experience

6 years ago (ish) Québec City saw 25cm of snow followed by 15cm 3 days later that kickstarted winter a few weeks earlier than usual. Snow that early isn't uncommon, but that amount and the fact it didn't melt away is notable. I don't expect to see a winter like that ever again in my lifetime.
