Checked the postcode for Buckingham Palace on my new IMD2025.co.uk site

Apparently, the neighbours could use a little “levelling up.”

See how your area’s deprivation scores have changed between 2019 and 2025. 👑📉#IMD20252#DataForGoodo#LevellingUpU#UKDatat#OpenDatat#Mappingng

The Helsinki Bus Station Theory reminds us: originality isn’t found by starting over. It’s earned by staying long enough to make your work unmistakably yours.

🧵 One of my favourite ideas: The Helsinki Bus Station Theory. It’s about creativity, originality, and the courage to stay on the bus — and it has everything to do with creating lasting social impact.

🚨📊 The English #IndicesOfDeprivation2025 will be released in Oct/Nov this year.

This is huge! 🔥

#IMD underpins funding decisions, #research, #policy targeting, and #impact #measurement across England.

If you use #postcode #data, map #disadvantage, or care about place-based work, get ready. 🗺️

Here’s how registered deaths have tracked against expected deaths.

To be clear: deaths below expectation aren’t automatically a good or bad thing.

But deviations like this can point to something important like model flaws, under-reporting, even genuine health trends (NHS waiting lists?)

That’s #Anthropy25 done.

Exhausting, inspiring, collaborative, and fascinating.

Highly recommended.

Falling behind already in my monthly reading. Finally finished ‘The Smartest Guys in the Room’ by Bethany McLean and Peter Elkins.

Well worth a read.

Looking for recommendations for my next one please!

Interesting use of colour on the rating scale for this Net Promoter Score question... 🎨

By coloring 0-6 in red, 7-8 in amber, and 9-10 in green, they're subtly nudging respondents to choose higher scores. 🤔

Is this smart UX or leading the witness? 🚦 #NPS #SurveyBias

Great evening supporting our partners at the Ferdinando & Luigi Innocenti Foundation.

Always cool to see our work held up as the truth to hold charities accountable.

Step 5: Calculate SROI 💸

If a programme creates £5M of social value on a £1M budget, then its a £5 return per £1 invested.

Which looks clean. But based on what assumptions? 🤔

Lovely evening supporting the #LordsTaverners #Impact Report launch.

Excited to get into helping them demonstrate more of the great work they do in the near future.

The initial findings are already super positive! ✨ It’s amazing to see YMCA Manchester adapting as they go, refining the programme to better serve everyone who steps through their doors. This approach keeps the focus on constant improvement — just how it should be. 🚀 (5/9)

One of the coolest parts: the dashboard even runs statistical tests 🔬 to show when something interesting is happening. No more guessing, no more waiting until the end of a long evaluation process— this is real-time learning at its best. 🤩 (4/9)

What’s social prescribing at YMCA Manchester all about? Over the first 10 weeks, folks who need a little extra support get access to a 🏋️ gym-based programme to boost confidence, build knowledge, and improve overall health, followed by further support to empower people 💪 (2/9)

Whilst I’m on one, is anyone else upset with the new #DryJan #Heineken 0% advert, where the first guy makes an excuse to ‘bale’ on an engagement. His excuse is inspired by him holding a golf club where he says he’s ‘driving’. However, in the advert he’s holding a putter. Feels kinda lazy right?

Yesterday, we celebrated 6 amazing years of Trust Impact with our associates & friends! 🎉 It was inspiring to reflect on the impact we've made in the third sector, sharing our ambitions, and capping it off with my annual quiz! Here's to another year of driving change! 💪🌟 #SocialImpact

It’s a good question. Interested to hear thoughts?

And whilst we’ve got to start somewhere, for reference, Charity CEOs are trusted less than the ordinary man/women on the street…
January 16, 2025 at 9:01 PM
Trust in charity CEOs is up 📈 — rising from 44% in 2023 to 51% in 2024 (Ipsos Veracity Index).

It’s the biggest jump in nearly a decade. But why? 🤔 Let’s explore a few possibilities… (2/5)
