I don't profess to have all the answers for how to overcome this shit. I just think it's high time we start talking about it and being vulnerable about our own participation in it. I think it's time that we encourage each other to rethink how we're interacting.

Social media is the modern COINTELPRO. They don't need to infiltrate our orgs. All they need to do is keep us online and yelling at each other. On the platforms they own and profit from trapping us into.

If we all had back all the time we have spent beefing in comment sections with people who are either just as chronically online as we are or might even just be bots, who knows what we might be accomplishing. And in this timeline, that lost time equals lost opportunities.

All I was suggesting is that a platinum selling artist who has touched the lives of tens of millions and has a platform from which tens of millions more could be reached might reconsider engaging with internet trolls and ragebait with people who have 15 followers.
