New — USAID staff received an email just a few minutes ago letting them know HQ would be closed to all personnel Monday. It’s likely some employees will miss the overnight email, show up and be turned away.

In light of the OMB emailing federal workers to offer them a buyout if they resign (and no guarantee of continued employment if they don't) is fucking dark. I think @iwriteok.bsky.social was right about the MAGA's just being willing to try anything.

Trump's policies will absolutely cause both food and housing prices to rise. His policies on immigration alone will decimate the agriculture and construction sectors. With that in mind, I am curious to see how the administration will try to spin that.
