It is sad how we as a society have devalued language as a skill and an art.

How cruel and cold a world is that has outsourced emotion and expression to machines.

Our words are something worth putting thought into.

I swear he knows how and when to pose. He pauses for just a second and looks right at my phone. He looks good in every light, but he's so chubby he looks like a dorito from behind.

He's handsome all the time, but he does look particularly dashing in his sweaters.

The problem is he has to wear his harness on the outside of this one, which is way less secure, but he doesn't really want to be outside for more than five minutes. he asks me to go out constantly, but mostly wants the treats he gets when he comes back in.

Thats just his poor, beat up face. Vincent is surprisingly tolerant for a formerly feral boy. He actually prefers the fit and weight of this sweater, which is heavier and tighter around the middle, and oddly seems to help his anxiety when he's outside.

The reason I never went to Bubble's Mansion in my 20s was because several people associated with production of the TPB told me, in no uncertain terms, never to party with that guy if he asked me to. I was the early morning baker/cashier at the gas station closest to their set and I was 17.

Feathers have to be washed and processed before they can be sold. If they are being compensated for the loss of income, I would expect you are right, but then I would have a hard time squaring the owner's "research herd" claims with getting compensation for loss of income.
November 10, 2025 at 11:58 PM
A part of me wonders whether or not they will still be able to sell the feathers, which can be quite expensive. As far as I am aware, you cannot slaughter animals just for their feathers in Canada, but you can sell the ones harvested from meat birds. What about these culled birds?

If you guys love this, you might also love Belle Sisoski, a young musician from Malaysia who blends "ethnic instruments" with techno music and even some throat singing.

Yeah, but it costs $20 to get them over the bridge on the way out.

Be careful, that's how you get Montreal.

The first few seasons were super feelings heavy, and the show was pretty good. About three seasons in it switched to the unheard-of-catastrophe-of-the-week style and it got way less interesting, IMO.

The space stuff felt shoehorned in to take a few shots at bezos and musk, honestly.

TBH, the first few seasons were pretty good, seemed to mostly be about people accumulating first responder trauma, while also having soo many feelings about things, but they have just gotten weirder as it goes. Angela Bassett does a lot of ACTING, though.

Fully agree!
There is an episode of the Noble Blood podcast (maybe the first episode) called "The Second Death of Marie Antoinette" and it was eye opening, if grisly, to listen to. Probably my favourite doc on the subject.

Chromecasts are such wimpy little guys. Not near as durable as the smart hubs or speakers. Never works quite right with Google assistant, or anything else, even when you only ask it to play with other Google products.
November 8, 2025 at 10:50 PM
Also my Chromecast is prone to overheating, so it's actually the thing that needs to be unplugged and plugged back in often.
November 8, 2025 at 10:48 PM
My Chromecast is such a wimp, it once got pushed off my network by a "smart" cat fountain that was closer to the modem.

My advice as the tech support person on the phone at the Internet company is to try to power cycle your modem. I was having some trouble with my (eastlink) wifi yesterday. Sometimes you just need to restart the processes so the devices you're using get the bandwidth.

Honestly, I would be more surprised if she were able to nod along and just go with the government's agenda the whole time. Too many loose screws on that cannon for her to stay steady.
November 8, 2025 at 10:29 PM
Truly, I believe she is being earnest when she says a lot of what she says lately. She has always been highly conspiratorial, and a loose cannon. I do not think she is clever enough for it to be a ruse, and I find it unsurprising that a conspiracy nut would be suspicious of a gov't she's part of.

Anyone who does things online instead of IRL" so they don't get punched" probably argues almost solely in bad faith.
