I'm kind of sad that I'm coming up on the last episode of Evil. It's seriously the best worst show I've seen in a while.

It's incredible to me how in every news story, every piece of media, in every bit of pop culture, there's a definite feeling of "this world is absolutely fucked" but it's never acknowledged. People are trying every day to get by and move on, but the elephants are getting bigger and having babies.

Remember, right wing politicians don't actually care about religious values. It was always all about money. Adam and Steve would get the married tax rate, Steve would get on Adam's health insurance, and then there's inheritance....

Maybe the US isn't as rich as we're being told. I know at least a couple of countries that have deployed advance butthole targeting systems to 90% of their population and we're out here cutting school lunches, kicking people out, and saying "healthcare isn't THAT important."

So this "article," generated today, points hungry Black Friday shoppers to what sounds like an absolute steal. I was expecting maybe a mini-PC with an APU. Maybe something last gen, but if you build PCs at all, you know that $500 does NOT give you "everything you need to revamp your gaming station."
Probably should make a video on this, but holy hell....I knew that 90% of the internet is just clickbaity unmanaged slop, but this actually came as a notification on my phone.

This is fucking Looney Tunes on so many levels.

About to deep dive.

Nuance: The reason I hate the police yet love body cam footage.

So this was...unnerving.

Something happened to a couple of 15 year olds in my town. One man chimed in saying that he knew these women very well. This was a max sympathy situation...so to not refer to them as kids or children felt weird...

You don't get a prize for guessing how the profile looked.

Whew. This Predator movie is gonna be divisive and come with a lot of takaways. Good, bad...but the unsettling realization that "as talented as you are, you're just a primitive idiot until you settle down with a dog and a white woman."

It only just occurred to me. Biff's Automotive Detail in 1985...he had to clean the car of horseshit all by himself.

Hold up. Wal-Mart has a PICKUP FEE? $6.99?

OK so I'd be the first to blame him if he was, but Leto was not the problem with that movie and he was nowhere near being the worst actor in the cast by a LONG shot. It's been a while since I singled out an actor in a film for being uniquely terrible, but I did...and it definitely wasn't hiim.

I'm reading about the like 12th organization who's protesting their employer for mismanagement and a lack of employee investment and I'm like "tf are you protesting."

US domestic policy is "get fucked" unless you're Amazon or Google. Protest the right thing or you're doing their work for free.

Props to the design team for the setting of The Long Walk. The course itself might be the biggest character in the movie and it's easy for it to go under the radar.

Every single character, every single conversation...it's all graphics novel stuff. $5 I just figured out the twist ending, too.
I decided that I'd give Alien: Earth a shot hearing what ep 5 does. I'm up to Ep 4, and if anything, I'm just confused. So far, it's a series of contrast. Great actors in nonsensical roles, graphic novel ideas that work vs. TV ideas that don't, expanded universe vs. Alien, plot convenience OTA...

These Buldak chips definitely don't live up to the hy...wait, come to think of it, I think I just got excited by Buldak on a bag of chips. Was there any hype? Either way, 4/10 meh

I remember reading something long ago that stuck with me and I can't remember where I read it. Something along the lines of "Mass Effect is about a God-less universe."
That really changed my perspective on all of sci-fi. it's actually a reason why I've kind of stayed away from Picard.

This is why we have warning labels. Only the warning labels were millions of people all screaming the same thing and at a certain point, not heeding the warning becomes a choice.

Anybody else getting a really icky feeling about Oct 1? Bombs won't fall, but I'm getting Skynet vibes....like we're not giving due credit just how much things will change.

It's definitely sad that there are news articles writing about "tipping fatigue" while blaming those tablet screens. I hate them, too....but you tip every day. Everything you buy with your CC, every single purchase from fast food, every cell phone bill...you're tipping ALL THE TIME.

Jesus. I just did a rare check on the other app and it's a complete shitshow over there. Trouble is, that's absolutely a reflection of the real world. I feel like I'm able to find a cozy place to hide from it here, but still....yikes.
