I could always eat, it just took effort. I've never had it "as bad" as others. But when I took my first real vacay in Oct '23, a 3-week road trip, I had to bring 72 bottles of carbonated water with me. I realized I'd had enough of "living with it." When I got home I finally sought treatment 🙃

Long story short, it was a perfect storm of a GI doctor who didn't know much, so I didn't know much - didn't understand the risks - and I was in an abusive relationship at the time. I didn't have the freedom or support to be treated. When that relationship finally ended, I'd learned to live with it.

11 years! That gives me hope!🤞
