On top of licensed establishments not being allowed in the Local Commercial zone, they also cannot share space in a building with residences. That quashes any hope of having neighbourhood pubs with a couple apartments above.

It is truly archaic that as part of Fredericton's zoning code there is a prohibition against "drinking establishments" within 300m of a place of worship.

So based on some smart music loving people's recommendations I tried to get into MJ Lenderman and I couldn't. Snocaps was a bit better. Waxahatchee on her own is great.
