And it extends to big blockbusters, too. I literally met someone the other day who didn’t know there was another Wicked movie in theaters. Just thought the first one was it and done! People don’t care about the movies like they did 20 years ago. It’s not a novel experience because it’s $$$$.

Idk - I just see things slightly differently from a city that’s not a hub. We’ve always been ignored and rarely been given access to broadly accessible indie cinema for more than a week.

Anyways, I won't be doing something like that again for a good while. I wish the experience had been a little more justified by the movie itself, but it'll be a fun story to tell at the office today. Haven't had a get-to-the-theater experience quite like that since PINEAPPLE EXPRESS.

It was maybe the latest I've been out to a movie for - I got out around 10:30 and headed straight home, but didn't fall asleep for another hour or so. I was dehydrated (no water since 6 PM, plus salty popcorn), so I awoke at 5 AM with the worst charlie-horse I've ever experienced.
