Another one that's been claimed is that they don't want to be associated is (this is alleged so please take a grain of salt with this) that some countries in Asia whose Anti Porn laws are far more strict have threatened to just cut off access to these payment services instead.

It's a few factors rolled into one. The big one is the Optics because these companies have spent figurative decades not wanting to be openly associated with adult materials, and when these groups claim you're also promoting illegal materials it makes you look bad by association.
