Seems it would make the most sense if it's a way for Steam to grab more market share for the storefront while Microsoft flails. And to build experience towards a more direct XBOX competitor in 2027-ish.

Yeah if you follow any creators on any platform you see a steady stream of "the mods/the algorithm are cracking down, subscribe and here's my patreon". It's part of the hustle, can't even blame them at this point

Either we have a popular front against fascism, or we don't. I guess if you don't really believe that the GOP is a fascist party you could see it as more important to get rid of Chuck Schumer than John Thune, but man, I dunno.

Ha, I've been thinking a lot lately about why (white) Gen Xers turned out to have such terrible politics, and 90s culture really does keep returning to my mind. The last era when a lot of words considered slurs today were in common parlance, and one for which the Elons of the world openly pine.

The cartels seem to be the parties most willing and able to wield significant force in the region, and a US intervention that isn't a ground invasion seems unlikely to change that.

Yup - and GPUs were popular in gaming and animation before they became popular in supercomputing before they became popular in crypto mining before they became popular for LLMs. DC construction is such a popular expenditure because there are so many applications.

Politics-as-entertainment once again - show me the voter you needed, who would be swayed by Schumer's endorsement. Otherwise you're just telling "Tom Brady was underrated!" into the void.
