I was in the checkout line at a store today & there was a little girl (maybe 10) with her parents in front of me buying a large TV. She was reading the box while waiting when she said "This is a SmartTV?" Dad responded "Yep." She excitedly asked "Does this mean we're getting the Internet soon!?"

If the executive can unilaterally shift all functioning out of an congressionally established agency, then what is left of Congress’ lawmaking?

I've sure been timely with my TV series lately. First, Andor, now Chernobyl. A well-made & horrifying reminder of the dangers of an authoritarian government: centralized power, suppression of dissent & scientific knowledge, the creation of alternative facts/ manipulated reality, and rule by fear.

Today marks 2 weeks without a pop or caffeine. I used to drink a can or two of Coke Zero or Pepsi Zero nearly every day. Been drinking more water. I believe I was addicted to the carbonation and not necessarily the caffeine. I definitely feel less anxious, sleep better, and have less bloating.

Arguing with my MAGA Nurse coworker about vaccines is super annoying. It's amazing how many RNs and other medical professionals are anti-medicine and anti-science because of their personal politics these days.

New cost (w/o subsidies): $1600
That's most of his monthly income.

Just read a report that someone is regularly putting a Hitler mustache on Trump's official portrait at one of our community clinics. Cameras have now been installed to catch or deter them. It is undetermined at this time if it is an employee or a Veteran. Made me chuckle. LoL

What if, hear me out, it isn't only foreign governments that would use such kompromat to control an American president. What if it was our own government, a political party, or a think tank/foundation with its own agenda in need of someone they can manipulate and control? 🤔

Went to my eye doctor today. Why does a box of contacts through their suppliers cost $76 when the same exact contacts can be bought online for $36 per box? With current rebates, I can actually get 4 boxes online for $50. That's ridiculous. They're marked up because of my insurance, but how dumb.
