I saw sooo many waiting around at the Mall last weekend. That was before trash collection day so they entertained themselves with photo ops.

I saw 4 of them today in a "feels like" temp of 98, just standing in the shade of a tree on Constitution between the WH and Washington Monument. Doing absolutely nothing. The cop gave a ticket to a car parked in front of that hydrant, fair enough.

A DC mystery finally solved! For years in warm months, I'll hear drums some evenings through my windows & run out like a kid catching an ice cream truck, to see a marching band walking right through the city streets. Members of all ages. At last, I found out they are from a local church. So fun!
