The popular DNA test kit company 23andMe announced yesterday that it has filed for bankruptcy and is looking for a buyer. And while the company has promised to continue protecting customer data amidst a possible sale, Wirecutter’s tech experts think you should delete your data now.
23andMe Just Filed for Bankruptcy. You Should Delete Your Data Now.
23andMe is up for sale—which means your data is, too.

The GOP holds unprecedented power because, each time they faced a political setback, they pushed harder to the right. Meanwhile, the Dems chose to move toward the center and failed to motivate enough voters.

Maybe Democratic party leaders should take their cue from Sanders and AOC. Just a thought.

Jeffrey Goldberg thinking he was being pranked and then realizing he was actually just in the war plans group chat is such a good microcosm of how it feels to be alive right now, everything seems fake until you realize it’s actually real and incredibly stupid

Figured I’d hop on here today for the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act.

With everything going on right now, it’s easy to feel like regular folks can’t make a difference – but the ACA is a reminder that change is possible when we fight for progress.

Medicare for All isn't radical.

What's radical is that we are the only major country not to guarantee health care as a human right. Every other major country figured out years ago how to provide health care to all at a much lower cost.

Please don't tell me we can't do the same.

Well, definitely that, but let's not short the right's ignorant hatreds for anyone not "christian," white, and absolutely binary. Most everyone outside of the tangerine tantrum's circle would be - and are - doing this for free.
The Trump regime's repeated attacks on "DEI," "wokeness," and the trans community have one clear purpose:

If we are angry at each other, we don't look up to see how big corporations and billionaires have rigged markets and siphoned off most of the economy's gains.

Tyrants view educated citizens as their greatest enemy.

Slaveholders stopped the enslaved from learning to read. Nazis burned books. Dictators censor media.

That’s why Trump is attacking education, science, museums, and the arts – to prevent us from learning.

It's Fascism 101.

An article on the Defense Department website devoted to Jackie Robinson’s military career disappeared and then reappeared, joining a series of government web pages on Black figures that have vanished under the Trump administration’s efforts to purge government websites of references to DEI.

A number of military pages focused on African American achievements have been lost amid the Trump administration’s effort to scrub references to diversity and inclusion. Some return. Others don’t.

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

If there's one thing that domestic violence research has taught me, it's that abusers set up no-win scenarios. They punish you whether you cooperate with them or whether you push back.

The only way out is to strengthen ties with people outside of the relationship who can create new, better options.
