Tried my hand at something called St. Louis Gooey Butter Cake. Turned out really good. Crisp on top and soft and gooey inside. Sprinkled some confectioners sugar on top after it cooled. #homecooking

Tried my hand at something called St. Louis Gooey Butter Cake. Turned out really good. Crisp on top and soft and gooey inside. Sprinkled some confectioners sugar on top after it cooled. #homecooking

From Ellie's in Long Beach. Great place, one of my favorite in the LBC. Pasta dish has a type of chili in the sauce, plus basil, olives, and a touch of pesto. Crab dip had hot pickles mixed in -- favors mixed really well. 🍝 #foodie

Was in #SanDiego this past weekend. Found a little Italian 🇮🇹 place called Cucina Caprese. The gnocchi pesto used almonds instead of pine nuts, which I'd never had before. 'Twas good! And, not entirely sure, but I think everyone working there was Italian! 👌🍝 #foodie #chefskiss
