Of course, but you don’t have to give up 3 guys to get Aldama. JJJ likely isn’t getting traded and it would take a ton to get him.

They didn’t mortgage anything but cap space, those picks won’t be good and they have extras. KCP was dead money they had to pay a pick to get rid of. I also said most of what you just said in the article. Read this bit again “Detroit Pistons rumors: Patience is still going to be key”

Teams also use pre-draft workouts to identify players they may want to sign outside of the draft. It’s not all about the 37th pick, they have two-way deals and the GLeague to consider too. Langdon found Naji Marshall and Jose Alvarado as undrafted free agents.

Everyone in the 2nd round is a fringe draft pick, especially now that NIL money is keeping a lot of those guys in school. I wouldn’t put too much stock in 2nd round draft predictions.

I’d like a player in the LaRavia/Hauser/Alexander-Walker range, bring back Beasley. I doubt the Pistons will trade up unless it’s just a spot or two. I do like Lanier but hard to predict in the 2nd round. If the Pistons do make a trade, that pick could be part of it.

I’d be shocked if they traded TMIII. But yeah, in a vacuum, he’d be perfect. You willing to give up Holland/Ivey? That would be the cost. My only problem with TMIII is that he is hurt a lot. I used to cover NOLA, he’s great.

I like Allen but don’t know why the Cavs would trade him for Duren. Seems like a lateral move for them. I’d probably rather just keep Duren. He started figuring some things out in the playoffs and he’s 6 years younger.

He’s fine, just not worth nearly $38-40 million a season. The new CBA makes it far more punitive to overpay non superstars. He’s better than Tobias but not for the cost.

That’s one busy trade. Too much to digest really, but I don’t want MPJ. I’d rather have Tobias tbh
May 25, 2025 at 3:07 PM
Yeah, me too, but we are playing with house money at this point. Would have been nice to get to 45 though
April 14, 2025 at 2:19 PM
Yeah, agree except those title teams were loaded with talent and superstars. Both teams had multiple hall of famers on them.
April 10, 2025 at 2:34 PM
Sure? Of course not, anything can happen. But I’m confident Boston will win in the first round.
April 10, 2025 at 9:25 AM
It’s not. They are 10th in net rating. Top 5 since Schroder was added.
April 4, 2025 at 12:52 PM
And a starter goes to the bench. Adding more talent increases depth regardless of who starts.

I wasn’t suggesting they get Morant. Here’s some of what I wrote “Ivey is undoubtedly the better bargain right now and one could argue that his superior shooting efficiency makes him a better fit with Cade Cunningham, especially considering Ivey was shooting over 45 percent on catch-and-shoot 3’s.

You couldn’t pay me to listen to that toxic crap. There’s plenty of Pistons’ coverage out there that doesn’t involve these hacks.
February 25, 2025 at 1:07 PM
I try not to think about that stuff, as I’m too superstitious (sports only haha) Just as a hypothetical, the Pacers may give me a heart attack, I hate that team, but it would be fun. As long as we make it, I don’t care.
